A kick in our Personality

Life Lessons  for Daily Living  # 1 :

Each person is a unique blend of the chromosomes and genes of our father and mother as well as our ancestors. Our genetic make-up is so designed in such a manner that we are distinct with other human beings.
As an individual passing through the  different stages of  life, you cannot help but ponder on a lot of issues, confronting your day to day existence  in this highly intricate and technological world.
As what Abraham Maslow, one of my favorite humanistic psychologists  strongly upholds, each individual is capable of achieving his  maximum potential  and to be self - actualized. But, in the process of becoming the " person" you so desired to become, there are a lot of  " battles" ( personal, familial, academic, social, spiritual, political, cultural ) to be won in order to feel  the essence of being truly human.
Our sense of self  gradually unfolds  as we grow and develop  into a mature human being in touch with  the realities of life. The different factors which impacts our  life and our personality  anchored on the various context  we are exposed to, provides a positive and negative  impact in the process of becoming fully human.
Similarly, our past experiences with our family, friends, neighbor, community and the world, adds a significant ounce of who and what we are now. Our dealings with the people we come in contact with consciously and unconsciously " shapes" our attitude  and most importantly-our personality.
A kick in our personality, is strengthening and fine-tuning each aspect of ourself so that it impacts our life in overwhelmingly positive and productive way.
For years as an educational psychologists, I tried to maximize opportunities that comes my way as well as experiences that offer tangible insights that could add value to myself and to my chosen profession in order to become effective as well as efficient and to " touch" others lives positively.
This personal journal article attempts to provide the reader a "glimpse" on the  value of being in touch with the self as he critically assesses and evaluates his life, relationships, dreams, aspirations, passion, achievements or accomplishments as a person attempting to create a niche and to leave a significant  mark in this world.

Life Lessons for Daily Living No.5        One of  the most interesting gift God has bestowed each one of us whatever race we belong, is the beauty of life. How one defines  and perceives  his life, is really a matter of  perspective. Our lenses  with life  will determine  how  we invest  our time, how we spend our money, how we use our talents, how we value our relationships  with family and friends.        It is indeed  interesting  to know and comprehend  how  others  see their life. There might be varied  points of  view as to how one defines his  life. One might perceive it as a roller coaster ride, a circus, a puzzle, a dance, a song, a symphony and most of  all  a journey. As Rick Warren, the famous author of  the Purpose Driven Life, simply puts it, the way  you see your life shapes your life. Life has conc...

Each one of us has a unique and creative   way of showing our moods   as shown through our actions, gestures, facial expressions and verbal communications.        Indeed, life has its unique way of bringing out the best in us and similarly, the worst in us.   As actors   and   actresses   in this “realistic   theatre”,   the significant   role we portray will more or less recognize if we deserve the best actress or actor award or we end up not winning any special award from the point of view of our   critical viewers. This might be the significant persons in our life - our family, friends, students, colleagues and our constituents.        As we unravel ...

Life Lessons for Daily Living  No.2       Getting the best out of life and  ourselves  basically springs from  our attitude.
